ARM of Care is looking for a competent, compassionate individual who is passionate about our cause as our new Executive Director. This is a part-time position and the individual works remotely.

What We Do
ARM stands for Art, Recreation and Movement. The horror of being trafficked affects every aspect of a person’s life. Our goal is to provide a variety of programs to enable each individual to “find their voice” and reclaim their lives. We partner with agencies working with those impacted by exploitation to provide custom therapeutic programs in all types of art, recreation & movement. In-person, video, 1:1, staff education etc.
ARM of Care works in six counties in Northern California partnering with both residential and day programs including Freedom House, Shepherds Gate, Community Violence Solutions, Juvenile Hall in Contra Costa and Alameda Counties, Love Never Falls and New Day for Children.
What You’ll Do
ARM of Care is seeking an individual to work part time in the Executive Director (ED) position. The ED should be a trusted advisor to the Board and partner agencies. The ED would be responsible for leading the team of part-time staff across all aspects of the organization including administration, programs, and strategic plan development, and would report directly to the board of directors. The focus is to have an individual who has a degree in business or related field, interested in nonprofit work, giving back to the community, and having some knowledge of the issue of human trafficking. Additionally, an understanding of the value of the Expressive and Movement Arts in the role of healing and well-being would add value.
Prepare and oversee the budget, manage day to day fiscal operations
Help define strategies, skills and best practices
Own grant research and writing, donor management, and leading fundraising efforts
Drive/lead speaking engagements/community outreach
Define and implement strategies for marketing, including social media, newsletter, website management, etc.
Participate in community (city and county) task force meetings, conferences and events
Network and collaborate with partner agencies
Keep job descriptions, writing and revising as needed
Prepare performance evaluations for all administrative and management staff
Hire administrative and management staff
Attend all Board meetings
Serve as liaison between Board and agency staff
Oversee implementation of all Board procedures
Lead recruitment of potential Board of Directors Members

This is a part-time position (20 hours per week) and does not include any benefits. Pay will be determined by candidates' work experience.
