Veggies\, turtles\, trees! Nature Explorers returns to The Gardens at Heather Farm on Tuesday\, March 20th for its fourth year with a fun\, engaging and educational program for preschoolers. Designed for ages two to five\, children and their adult caregivers explore the natural world in a lush\, garden setting during this series of six 90-minute\, weekly classes featuring nature-themed stories\, garden walks\, hands-on activities\, and other fun projects. The program is led by experienced teachers.\n\nIn 2018\, participants will explore marine biology\, conservation\, habitats of California\, garden plants\, and rocks and minerals\, and celebrate World Planting Day\, Earth Day\, World Oceans Day\, World Sea Turtle Day and National Honeybee Day with special\, themed activities.\n\nClasses are held on Tuesday mornings from 10 a.m to 11:30 a.m. The six-week sessions run from March 2o through November 20. Registration for each session is limited to 15 children. Parent/adult participation is required. Discounts offered for siblings over age two. Children under two may attend free of charge with their registered older sibling(s).
