The Walnut Creek Homeless Community Task Force is hosting a free public forum on Thursday, March 29, 7:00-8:30pm in the Oak View Room on the 2nd floor of the Walnut Creek Library, 1644 N. Broadway, Walnut Creek.
The forum is designed to give community members and business owners an opportunity to learn more about homelessness in Walnut Creek, what is being done for the homeless, and steps being taken to address homelessness in our city. The forum will also give community members and business owners an opportunity to express their concerns and ask questions of experts.
Speakers and panelists will discuss facts about homelessness, causes of homelessness, problems experienced by the homeless and the community, and possible paths and solutions to the issues that result from homelessness. During Q&A, panelists will take questions from attendees moderated through Q&A cards available upon entry.
Panelists include: Donna Colombo, Executive Director, Trinity Center; Lt. Sean Conley, Walnut Creek Police Department; Walnut Creek Mayor Justin Wedel; Margot Ernst, Housing Program Manager, City of Walnut Creek; Michael Fischer, Program Manager, Coordinated Outreach Referral and Engagement (CORE); and Jaime Jenett, Continuum of Care Planning and Policy Manager, Contra Costa Health Services.
