Are you looking for a new and meaningful way to get involved and serve our community and our state? Have you ever considered applying for an appointment to a State Board or State Commission? There are over 200 opportunities to serve our state in a wide range of subject areas, as well as numerous city and county commissions that you could apply to join.
Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan, Speaker Anthony Rendon, and the League of California Cities Women’s Caucus are hosting a State Boards and Commissions Appointment Workshop on Thursday, August 22nd in San Ramon.
Experts will be on-hand to explain how you can apply for an appointment to a State Board or Commission, and will share some best-practices for a successful application.
California needs dynamic and talented leadership to help shape our future, which means we need more women representing our communities. Joining a board or commission is a great opportunity for civic engagement and the chance to improve the lives of your family, neighbors and all Californians.
