Event Description:
Let Holst's iconic orchestral suite "The Planets" take you into the beyond, and then marvel at the power and beauty of Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 famed for its pounding opening piano chords. Local choral group WomenSing performs the mystical chorus in "Neptune” and opens the program with a surprise a capella work.  WomenSing, known for its beautifully blended sound, is directed by Ofer Dal Lal. Guest soloist Christopher Richardson is the winner of this year's Yen Liang Young Artists Competition.  He is a piano student of Mack McCray and is in his Junior year at UC Berkeley.
